The Opportunity
We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Hudsonville that are seeking skilled Accounts Payable / Receivable Specialists. These organizations are dedicated to maintaining high standards and are looking for professionals who can contribute effectively. Key Responsibilities
- Process vendor invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper coding and approvals.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Prepare and process weekly payment runs (checks, ACH, wire transfers).
- Generate and distribute customer invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to terms.
- Monitor accounts receivable aging and initiate collection efforts for overdue accounts.
- Apply customer payments accurately and reconcile daily cash receipts.
- Assist with month-end close activities related to accounts payable and receivable.
Recommended Qualifications
- Associate's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in accounts payable and receivable, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and accounting software.
- Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Demonstrated ability to reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies accurately.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) specific to manufacturing modules.
- Familiarity with the procure-to-pay and order-to-cash cycles in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of international trade terms (Incoterms) and multi-currency transactions.
- Certification in Accounts Payable (e.g., CAPP) or Accounts Receivable (e.g., CARS).
