The Opportunity

We are collaborating with multiple companies in Kentwood seeking experienced Payroll Specialists. These organizations value long-term fit and are looking for professionals who bring both skill and alignment. By joining our network, you gain access to opportunities tailored to your goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees.
• Ensure accurate calculation of wages, overtime, and deductions.
• Administer and reconcile employee benefits, including health insurance and 401k.
• Prepare and submit payroll tax filings and year-end W-2s.
• Maintain up-to-date payroll records and employee information.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, taxes, and benefits.
• Collaborate with HR and accounting departments on payroll-related matters.

Recommended Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience processing multi-state payroll for 500+ employees, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated proficiency with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Workday, UKG) and timekeeping systems.
• Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations, including multi-state tax compliance.
• Experience with general ledger reconciliation for payroll accounts and month-end close processes.
• Ability to interpret and apply collective bargaining agreements or union contracts to payroll processing.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and payroll calculations.
