Come explore Novanta.As an Assembler II, you will be responsible for assembling and testing components to create finished products. You will collaborate with your team to ensure quality, efficiency, and safety in the production process. You will read and interpret assembly instructions, technical drawings and schematics. This is a Temporary role to support increased customer demand.Primary ResponsibilitiesPreparing and assembling components to create finished productsOperating machinery and equipment used in the assembly processInspecting and testing finished products to ensure they meet quality standardsIdentifying and reporting any issues or defects in the production processHave experience in assembly, testing, and operating machinery in manufacturing.Assemble parts or components to build various types of mechanical equipment, following blueprints, diagrams, and assembly instructions.Utilize hand tools and power tools, such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and drills, to perform assembly tasks with precision and efficiency.Clean and organize workspace and assembly areas.Properly store equipment, tools, and materials.Adjust, repair, or replace faulty components of the machinery during and after the assembly process to guarantee optimal performance.Provide feedback on assembly procedures and identify potential process improvements.Maintain excellent communication with supervisors, engineers, and quality assurance staff.Assemble electrical and mechanical components into a configuration for a customer's requirements.Training level 1 assemblers.Pneumatic motor assembly and high precision assembly.Required Experience, Education, Skills, Training and CompetenciesPrevious mechanical assembly experience preferred.Have mechanical abilities and a high level of precisionFollowing safety procedures and protocols.Be detail-oriented and able to maintain a high level of precision and accuracy Action OrientedEnjoys working hard; is action oriented and full of energy for the things that he/she sees as challenging; not fearful of acting with a minimum of planning; seizes opportunities when they arise.Is intentional about seeking input and including others when making decisions.Self aware, vulnerable, willing to reflect critically on opportunities for self improvement.Listens, masters productive conflict, works across functions and BU boundaries.Builds trusting relationships by being transparent and acting with integrity.Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings and work instructions.
