Loyal Source Government Services is looking for 4 full-time Phlebotomists to provide services to The Department of Veterans (VA) Maine Medical Center (TOGUS) in Augusta, Maine

Job Summary : Phlebotomists must provide services necessary to perform onsite laboratory testing to eligible beneficiaries to our Veteran population located at the VA Maine Medical Center in Augusta, ME. Phlebotomists are required to deliver high-quality, compassionate, and consistent care to individuals.


Pay Rate: $20.11/ hr


Duties :

• Perform patient phlebotomy to include inpatient ward rounds, inpatient and outpatient, Emergency Department, STAT, ASAP, and timed draws
• Perform sample processing and send out preparation
• Positively identifies patients prior to sample collection and samples prior to testing or aliquoting
• Safeguards electronic and paper patient information
• Independently tests, evaluates, documents and reports patient testing and Quality Control
• Identifies, documents, and resolves any collection, processing, testing, or reporting issues
• Assures patient-centered care and provides service in a professional manner

Qualification:

• A current CPR/BLS certificate by the American Heart Association is required.
• Must hold an active, current licensure as a professional nurse in the state, District of Columbia, Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a U.S. territory.
• A minimum of three (3) years of phlebotomy experience.
• Graduate of a school of practical or vocational nursing approved by the appropriate State agency and/or [accredited by] the NLNAC at the time the program was completed by the applicant.

Additional Information:

• VA Business Hours: 24/7, including weekends and Federal Holidays.
• Shifts:
  • 300 P.M. - 1130 P.M.
  • 900 A.M. - 530 P.M.

Will have a ½ hour unpaid break each shift
