CNC Machinist – 1st ShiftPay up to $35/hr for Strong Experience!! Job Summary We are looking for a strong, hands-on CNC Machinist who knows what they can do and can back it up. This is an all-around machining position for someone who understands CNC equipment, can perform setups and touch-offs, troubleshoot machines, and help keep production moving. We need someone with real machining experience, solid mechanical aptitude, decent math skills, and the ability to work independently.What You'll DoSet up and operate CNC mills and lathesPerform tool touch-offs and offsetsLoad and verify toolingCheck machines to ensure they are running correctlyPerform setups and make adjustments as neededMonitor production and keep jobs movingTroubleshoot basic machining and equipment issuesVerify parts and tooling are running correctlyHelp with machine controls and understand the overall production flowAssist with programming as capabilities allowWork with a CAD-based programming systemSupport multiple machines and machining processes as neededEquipment The shop includes a variety of CNC equipment:CNC Mills: Primarily 3-axisCNC Lathes: Standard 2-axis machines make up approximately 75% of the lathesApproximately 25% are more advanced machines with sub-spindlesSix machines have automated M-code-driven operations that largely run on their own and require periodic monitoring/checkingRequired Skills Must have genuine CNC machining experience. We're looking for someone who can confidently perform at least:CNC machine setupsTool loadingTool touch-offsOffsetsMachine adjustmentsProduction monitoringBasic troubleshootingReading and understanding machining requirementsWorking with machine controlsProgramming experience is a plus, but full programming capability is not required if the candidate is strong with setups, touch-offs, offsets, and machine operation. Math & Mechanical Aptitude You don't need to be a mathematician, but you do need to have decent basic math skills and be able to apply them to machining.
