The assignment is located in a vibrant community near Theodore, AL and runs from ASAP through May 26, 2027, offering consistency and a chance to develop meaningful relationships with students and staff.

You'll work Monday through Friday from 7:40am to 3:20pm, providing specialized instruction and support to a small caseload of 12 students in grades K–5. With a paraprofessional by your side, you'll focus on creating an inclusive, supportive learning environment tailored to children with diverse needs, including autism and toileting support.

What You'll Need:

• Valid Educator Certification (must be presented with images for verification)
• Prior experience teaching students with special needs, preferably in a self-contained setting
• Ability to support students with autism and provide assistance with toileting as needed
• Strong collaboration and communication skills for working with paraprofessionals, students, and families
• Commitment to maintaining a safe, engaging, and structured classroom

What You'll Do:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for each student
• Deliver instruction in accordance with best practices and district policies
• Adapt curriculum and strategies to meet a wide range of learning and behavioral needs
• Foster a positive, respectful classroom culture
• Document progress, consult with staff and parents, and participate in team meetings
