Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Medical Surgical Unit experience.

• Experience with Epic is required.

• 12 months of Trauma Level 1 facility is required.

• BSN completion preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Missouri license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >75 miles from facility to be submitted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Aya Program - BJC Health System and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - BJC Health System.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: - 2 years required; will consider 1+ year with Level I/Teaching Facility experience. - Drains, monitoring flaps post-op, tracheostomy/total laryngectomy care, tube feeding, phlebotomy, IV access, and central line management. - Telemetry required.

Preferred Skills/Experience: - Previous Charge Experience: Preferred - Teaching hospital experience is preferred.

Required Credentials: - RNs only - Clinicians who obtained RN degree outside of the U.S. and do not hold MO/IL/Compact license require extended licensing and compliance timeframe. - No medical marijuana cards accepted.

Special Requests: - You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Unit Details: - Adult patient population. - ENT/plastic surgery unit caring for patients with cuffed/cuffless tracheostomies, total laryngectomies, carotid blowout precautions, and free flap patients. - Common unit care includes free flap monitoring, drain care, tube feeding, and wound care.

Shift & Scheduling: - BJC policy: Every other weekend required. - No call. - No more than 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract.

Floating Requirements: - Will float within scope to meet facility needs.

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW : This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
