Provides data management guidance to project teams and business users to ensure data integrity and recoverability.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily.Manages the availability and usability of corporate databases in accordance with requirementsManages database department efforts in support of project teams, review and approve proposed changes by project teams to the logical database design and approve changes to Corporation’s databasesProvides timely support to all production databasesManages activities with other departments (e.g. information technology, unix administration, technical support, production automation, project office, etc.)Assign personnel to projects and direct their activitiesContribute to decisions on personnel actions (hiring, promotions, terminations, etc.)Confer with and advise subordinates on administrative policies and procedures, technical problems, priorities and methodsPrepare and monitor progress to satisfy employee career goalsDecide, schedule, and ensure funding for employee training classes, conferences and seminarsReview and evaluate work of staff and prepare periodic performance reportsEffectively participate as a member of Production Division management teamMaintain a high level of leadership and managementDevelop, publish and maintain a department assessment consisting of Departmental Mission/Function, Performance Standards, Goals and Objectives, Strengths and WeaknessesDevelop and communicate a challenging, clear and measurable Performance Review for each in-line management staff member; assist in the development, review and approval of clear and measurable Performance Review and Employee Development Plans for all staff members and provide regular and constructive feedback regarding the achievements of expectationsHold regular staff meetings to keep employees informed regarding relevant industry, corporate, departmental issues, projects and concerns; support staff decisions and give recognition of accomplishments; and encourage cooperation, collaboration and teamwork within staff and team membersProvide a work environment conducive to challenging, motivating and retaining employeesPromote staff mobility and career path planningInitiate, manage and participate in corporate projects or departmental initiativesProvide monthly status of achievement reports on departmental objectives and corporate project deliverablesMaintain a current skills/knowledge/ability inventory for each employee and utilize to assign tasks that achieve project goals while promoting growth and development of staffDevelop, manage, monitor and revise annual departmental operating budget in accordance with Accounting guidelinesSupervisory Responsibilities:Manages a teamQualifications:The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. If hired at OCC, your final base salary compensation will be determined by factors such as skills, experience and/or education. In addition, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer. We typically do not hire at the maximum of the range in order to allow for future and continued salary growth. Discretionary bonuses are based on various factors, including, but not limited to, company and individual performance and are not guaranteed.Salary Range$130,400.00 - $185,300.00Incentive Range8% to 15%This position is eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award, for which the target range is listed above (see Incentive Range).
