Site Manager - Custodial is a salaried leadership role responsible for overseeing daily janitorial operations across a four-building campus. This position ensures service excellence, strong client relationships, and consistent execution of cleaning standards while coordinating staff, projects, and on-site logistics. Annual reviews and bonus structures are in place for growth with the team.

Responsibilities

Operations & Leadership

• Oversee all daily cleaning operations across a multi-building campus
• Supervise on-site janitorial teams and ensure work is completed to specification
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and presentation throughout the facility
• Conduct daily site walk-throughs to verify quality and address issues proactively
• Ensure all daily cleaning logs and documentation are completed accurately
• Train new team members on proper cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and equipment use
• Manage supplies inventory, order necessary cleaning products and equipment to support ongoing operations
• Develop work schedules that optimize staffing levels while meeting client expectations
• Address any maintenance or custodial issues promptly to minimize disruptions and uphold quality standards

Client & Communication

• Maintain a strong, professional working relationship with the customer
• Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for day-to-day needs
• Respond quickly to concerns and ensure timely resolution
• Act as liaison between on-site teams and company operations leadership

Project Coordination

• Plan, oversee, and coordinate project teams for weekday and weekend work
• Support special projects such as deep cleaning, floor care, and event support
• Ensure projects are completed on time and meet quality expectations

Inventory & Site Management

• Maintain consistent inventory of consumables and cleaning supplies
• Coordinate supply ordering and storage for uninterrupted service
• Ensure equipment is properly maintained and utilized safely

Qualifications

• Experience supervising janitorial, custodial, or facility service teams
• Strong leadership and team coordination skills
• Excellent client service and communication abilities
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple buildings and priorities simultaneously
• Proficient with reporting, logs, and operational documentation

Work Schedule

• Full-time salaried position
• Flexibility to support weekday operations and occasional weekend projects

Qualifications

• Proven experience in custodial work, janitorial services, or facilities maintenance with a strong background in commercial cleaning or industrial cleaning environments
• Demonstrated leadership skills with prior porter or site management experience preferred
• Knowledge of floor care techniques, including buffing and other floor maintenance procedures
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
• Excellent communication skills to lead teams and coordinate with clients effectively
