Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Modified Care Unit Duration: 14 weeks Shift: 3rd 12-hour nights, every other weekend, float as needed Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in nursing with Cardiac Telemetry Care experience License: Current state Registered Nurse License or Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Must-Have: Experience working with diverse patient populations, cardiac telemetry care, patient assessment, knowledge of nursing theory and practice Description: The Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for an identified group of patients in an inpatient environment. This individual demonstrates competency in the delivery of care to a primarily adult population. The Staff RN-Inpatient job description has incorporated essential functions adapted from nursing scope and standards of practice. The role involves working with diverse patient populations including those with myocardial infarction, congestive heart failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, strokes, stable arrhythmias, and any other patients needing closer cardiac monitoring and assessment. Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice is normally acquired through completion of a minimum of two years of education at an accredited School of Nursing.
