Oral Surgeon

*Overview*

Join our dynamic healthcare team as an Oral Surgeon, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional surgical care to patients requiring advanced dental and maxillofacial procedures. You will be responsible for performing complex surgical interventions, managing pre- and post-operative patient care, and ensuring compliance with all healthcare regulations. *Duties*

* Perform a wide range of oral and maxillofacial surgeries including dental extractions, dental implants, biopsies, cyst removals, and corrective jaw surgeries.
* Assess patients thoroughly through detailed medical and dental histories, clinical examinations, and appropriate medical imaging to develop accurate diagnoses.
* Develop individualized treatment plans based on comprehensive patient assessments, ensuring optimal outcomes while considering patient comfort and safety.
* Utilize advanced dental software such as MOGO for accurate documentation of procedures, medical records, and treatment progress.
* Maintain strict infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to prevent cross-contamination during surgical procedures.
* Collaborate with general dentists, orthodontists, prosthodontists, pediatric dentists, anesthesiologists, and other specialists to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
* Communicate clearly with patients about procedures, post-operative care instructions, and expected outcomes to foster trust and understanding.
* Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and state healthcare regulations while managing sensitive patient information securely.
* Use medical terminology accurately when documenting diagnoses, procedures, and treatment plans in medical records.
* Stay current with advancements in oral surgery techniques through ongoing education and training.

*Qualifications*

* Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited institution with valid licensure to practice as an Oral Surgeon.
* Proven experience in oral surgery within a dental clinic or healthcare setting; familiarity with dental office software such as MOGO is highly preferred.
* Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and medical imaging techniques.
* Proficiency in performing dental extractions, dental implants, biopsies, etc
* Ability to communicate effectively with patients of diverse backgrounds while demonstrating excellent client communication skills.
* Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and state healthcare laws to ensure compliance in all aspects of patient care.
* Experience with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.
* Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while maintaining high standards of patient care.
