Job Overview A law firm seeks an experienced litigation attorney with over five years of experience to join their Lafayette, Louisiana office. This role offers meaningful responsibility, direct client interaction, and the opportunity to work on a sophisticated and varied general liability defense docket. Duties Manage a broad range of general liability defense matters, including commercial litigation and transportation liability. Handle premises liability, medical and professional liability, and construction defect cases. Engage in insurance coverage and related business disputes. Develop and implement practical litigation strategies tailored to client goals. Conduct depositions, hearings, and motion practice. Communicate effectively with clients and collaborate with experienced trial lawyers. Requirements Over five years of litigation experience. Proven ability to manage files and develop litigation strategies. Comfortable working in a collaborative, team-driven environment. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree. Certifications Licensed to practice law in Louisiana. Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
