Responsibilities Manage the commissary operations efficiently and accurately within the guidelines established by the agency. Supervise daily reporting and accuracy of all commissary supplies, budgeting, ordering, and receiving. Conduct and document inventory. Maintain appropriate inventory levels and accurate records. Supervise employee/inmate workers: screen, select, train, and evaluate assigned personnel. Provide rehabilitation and self‑improvement opportunities for inmates. Manage laundry operations. Accurately account for laundry turn‑in and turn‑back. Determine serviceability of clothing and eligibility of exchange. Maintain detailed chemical records. Maintain operation/equipment that is safe and healthy as required by OSHA standards. Ensure appropriate maintenance is performed. Administrative functions as assigned/required. Requirements A high school diploma and relevant experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services; a bachelor’s degree may be substituted for the required work experience. Must successfully complete four (4) weeks of SCDC Basic Training upon hire. Travel required.
