Financial Analyst

Job Description

This is a Financial Analyst position supporting a large retail grocery and supermarket's General Ledger and Accounting organization. The role sits within a larger accounting team and works closely with Accounts Payable, Accounting, and Finance groups. The primary focus is on account reconciliations, financial analysis, accruals, month-end close activities, reporting, and identifying opportunities to improve accounting processes.

Skills and Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business

Experience

• 3-5 years of accounting or finance experience

• Experience performing balance sheet reconciliations

• Experience working with accruals

• Experience within larger organizations preferred

Systems & Technical Skills

• Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills required

• Strong experience with:

○ Pivot Tables

○ VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP

○ SUMIFS

○ Large data sets

• Power Query is a plus but not required

• SAP or ERP experience strongly preferred Power Query
