You are responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing test plans for our digital products. You are the champion of quality and have a crucial role in helping the organization reduce risk and deliver high quality software applications. You will assist in establishing new and improving existing Quality Assurance processes and strategies.Responsibilities:Developing and executing formal test plans to ensure the delivery of quality software applicationsInvolved in test planning, writing test cases/scripts, and test executionDocumenting all defects found and assisting in their resolutionTracking quality assurance metrics such as defects, defect counts, test results and test statusWorking with cross-functional teams to understand business and technical requirements for new functionality to be testedPartnering with engineering and product early in the design process to question decisions and surface risks before development beginsAssisting the QA Manager to evolve existing QA processes, standards, and guidelines, ensuring that the team is using industry-accepted best practicesJob Requirements4+ years experience in software development where your role was in the testing functionExperience planning, preparing, and executing test plans, and be responsible for project release testingStrong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to identify, analyze and assist in resolving defectsExperience working in an agile software development environment with cross-functional geographically distributed teamsExperience with JIRA, Confluence, and SharePointExperience testing RESTful Web Services and JSON messagesAbility to write and execute SQL queries to retrieve, validate, and troubleshoot data in support of testing effortsKnowledge of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Software Quality Assurance best practicesBachelor's degreePreferred Qualifications:Experience working in EdTech industryExperience with test automation framework and toolsExperience with Accessibility testingRequired Education:Bachelor's degreeStatus:Full-timeLocation:RemoteThe expected base salary range for this position is $84,000-$95,000, however the offered salary may be higher or lower than the above range dependent on numerous factors including, but not limited to location, work experience, skills and internal equity considerations.
