Senior QA Analyst

Sr. QA AnalystThe Sr. Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst will work on multiple programs/systems simultaneously for the Amtrak Digital Technology (DT) Safety & Security Team. The Sr. QA Analyst will interact with all members of the project team including architects, business analysts, system analysts, project managers, developers, and quality control leadership. The Sr. QA Analyst will be expected to:Review and map all business, functional and technical requirements to test cases, test plans and test resultsCreate formal test plans and document test resultsReview project deliverables and produce compliance checklistsMonitor, evaluate and make recommendations on QA related tasksCoordinate and oversee testing activities with external development teamsProduce QA Root Cause Analysis document following problem investigationCommunicate and escalate testing results to project/program leadershipMaintain working knowledge of quality standardsDevelop and perform quality test processesMake recommendations for repairing defectsParticipates in bi-weekly meetings with IT departmentDocument testing protocolsAssure accuracy of programs prior to deployment to a production environmentTroubleshoot testing failuresSr. QA Analyst Qualifications & Requirements:Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, Management Information Systems (MIS) or related fieldMinimum of 8-10 years’ experience in software testingDemonstrated track record of effective problem-solving requiredStrong oral and verbal communication skills requiredCost Center 1322Headquarters Preferably the East Coast of the United StatesFunding Source CapitalCapital Project Name NCC Phone/Radio New Acela APD IntegrationsCapital Project WBSE C.IT.100532.0001 C.SF.100033.0001 C.IT.100355.
