The Inventory Clerk plays a crucial role in managing and maintaining the accuracy of a large inventory consisting of over 100,000 items. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this position involves the use of Excel spreadsheets and paper-based systems to ensure efficient stock management and documentation. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and communication abilities to support accurate tracking and reporting of inventory status.

Responsibilities

• Track inventory levels and update records accurately
• Manage stock to ensure availability and prevent discrepancies
• Perform data entry tasks to maintain inventory records
• Process orders and document receiving of goods
• Conduct inventory audits and generate reports
• Shelve items properly and maintain organized storage areas
• Utilize Excel spreadsheets and paper-based systems to manage inventory data
• Maintain clear verbal and written communication regarding inventory status
• Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to inventory challenges

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in inventory management
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Familiarity with Inventory Management Systems and Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Effective time management and communication skills
• Basic mathematical proficiency
