Step into an important role supporting students’ individualized education by conducting an independent Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) as part of an IEP evaluation. This contract opportunity allows you to leverage your Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) expertise and contribute valuable insights that impact the educational journey of students. The assignment is on-site, providing the chance to engage directly with staff and students and deliver meaningful, face-to-face assessments.

What you’ll need to succeed:

• Current certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
• Experience completing independent FBAs, particularly within a school setting
• In-depth knowledge of IEP processes and special education procedures
• Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with both educational staff and families
• Detail-oriented with strong observational and analytical skills

What you’ll be doing:

• Conduct a one-time, independent FBA in-person for a student as part of the IEP evaluation process
• Observe student behavior in classroom and school settings
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to gather relevant background and context
• Analyze data and provide clear, actionable recommendations as part of your assessment summary
• Ensure all procedures meet ethical standards and adhere to school district guidelines

This is an in-person assignment near Andover, KS. While the current need is for one independent evaluation, your expertise is highly valued, and there may be consideration for virtual work if in-person support cannot be fulfilled locally.
