Job Summary:
A registered nurse specializing in Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) at a facility located in Baltimore, Maryland. This position involves caring for high acuity medical and cardiac patients within a teaching hospital environment. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Location: Baltimore, Maryland
• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Current registered nurse (RN) license, at least 2 years of nursing experience, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Intermediate Care (IMC) experience, dysrhythmia management skills, at least 2 previous travel assignments.
• Preferred Qualifications: Critical Care Certification, trauma course, Electronic Health Record (EHR) experience with EPIC, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
• Additional Information:
  • Prior employment with any Johns Hopkins facilities (staff, PRN, travel) must be noted on the coversheet and in the work history.
  • Candidates previously employed as staff, perm, or PRN must be gone for at least 1 full year before applying as a traveler.
  • Orientations: Second and fourth Monday of each month.
  • Patient population includes adult inpatient medical-cardiac patients with varying levels of care, critical monitoring, vent management, tracheostomies, arterial lines, titrating drips, and provider-managed pressors and inotropes.
  • Nurse to patient ratio for IMC is 1:3 around the clock; for Telemetry during AM is 1:4; during PM is 1:5.
