Under the direction of the Senior Environmental Scientist (Supervisory) (SES), the Analyst II supports the development and operation of the Assembly Bill (AB) 652 Environmental Justice Advisory Committee (EJAC). AB 652 requires DPR to establish and convene the EJAC by January 1, 2026, and the Analyst II will support the establishment and initial convening of the EJAC, including planning, coordinating, and conducting outreach and solicitation for nominations, planning and coordinating EJAC meetings and internal Environmental Justice Roundtable (EJRT) meetings. The Analyst II supports community relations by facilitating two-way communication and. The Analyst II develops and coordinates outreach and engagement strategies for the EJAC and represented communities.You will find additional information about the job in the .
Working Conditions
Works in a secured high-rise, administrative office building with a public reception area for employees and visitors; Ability to use a computer for up to 8 hours a day; occasional travel by automobile or air may be required to different areas of the State; travel may include overnight stays.
NOTE: This position may be eligible for hybrid telework under Government Code 14200 for eligible applicants residing in California, subject to the candidate meeting telework eligibility criteria set forth in the CalEPA telework policy and/or future program need. Employees not residing in California are not eligible for telework. Regardless of telework eligibility, all employees may be required to report to the position’s designated headquarters location, as indicated on their duty statement, at their own expense. Beginning July 1, 2026, it is anticipated this position will be office-centered and employees will be expected to report to the office at least four days per week.Special Requirements
