Registered Nurse Medical Surgical/Tele

Job Summary:

Experienced Registered Nurse needed to provide care for adult and geriatric patients in a medical-surgical and telemetry unit. This position offers the option of a 13-26 week contract with night shifts, ensuring a dynamic and rewarding healthcare environment.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Administer medications and treatments using Omnicell to ensure patient safety
  
  
• 
  Monitor and assess patients' conditions, including those with stroke, TIA, seizure, pneumonia, chest pain, dialysis, and respiratory failure
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
  
  
• 
  Perform special procedures such as peritoneal dialysis and continuous bladder irrigation
  
  
• 
  Document patient information accurately in EPIC and maintain compliance with hospital protocols
  
  
• 
  Float to other units as needed, demonstrating adaptability and proficiency in various clinical tasks
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold an active Tennessee RN license with no restrictions
  
  
• 
  Possess at least 1 year of recent RN experience in a hospital setting
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate proficiency with EPIC EMR system
  
  
• 
  Maintain current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
  
  
• 
  Be willing to work night shifts and adhere to scheduling requirements
  
  
• 
  Comply with travel and distance regulations; travelers must be over 100 miles from Prisma facilities
