About the Position

Locum Tenens Gastroenterology Physician – Outpatient Endoscopy

Position Overview

A healthcare organization is seeking a Board-Certified Gastroenterology Physician for ongoing locum tenens outpatient coverage. The provider will perform a high volume of endoscopic procedures in a dedicated outpatient setting with strong clinical support and no call responsibilities.

Schedule & Coverage

Multiple coverage opportunities are available throughout August, September, October, November, and December.

• Monday through Friday
• No call required
• Typical workday begins as early as 7:30 AM and ends as late as 4:30 PM
• 30-minute lunch break
• Additional time allotted for chart completion

Practice Setting

• Outpatient endoscopy center
• Procedure-focused practice
• Collaborative physician environment with additional gastroenterologists typically on-site

Patient Volume

• Approximately 14–16 procedures per day

Clinical Support

Dedicated procedural team includes:

• CRNA support
• Registered Nurse (RN) assigned to each procedure room
• Endoscopy Technician support

Required Qualifications

• Active state medical license (or eligibility through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact)
• Board Certification in Gastroenterology
• Current DEA and applicable certifications
