Production SupervisorAt Qualitrol in Fairport, NY, the Production Supervisor oversees daily manufacturing operations to ensure smooth, efficient, and safe production while meeting quality standards and production targets.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise Production Activities: Oversee daily manufacturing operations, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality specificationsTeam Leadership: Manage, train, and motivate production workers; foster a positive, productive work environmentQuality Control: Monitor processes to meet quality standards; implement corrective actions when neededSafety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols, conduct inspections, and provide safety trainingProcess Improvement: Identify and implement efficiency gains, reduce waste, and lead continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Kaizen events)Inventory Management: Track raw materials and finished goods; coordinate with procurement for timely material availabilityReporting: Maintain production data records; prepare and submit reports to the Plant ManagerProblem-Solving: Address and resolve production issues promptly to minimize disruptionsCommunication: Serve as a liaison between management and production staff, ensuring clear communication of goals, changes, and updatesQualificationsEducation: High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree in a related field preferredSkills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; proficiency with manufacturing software/toolsKnowledge: Understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and safety regulationsPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand for extended periods.Ability to work in a fast-paced environmentWork ContextShift: A Shift (Team hours 7 AM - 3:30 PM)Environment: Fast-paced manufacturing plant with a culture of continuous improvement, autonomy, and collaborationImpact: Responsible for safety, quality, cost, delivery, and schedule goals; may establish new production cells and lead trainingThis role is part of Ralliant, combining the agility of a smaller company with the resources of a Fortune 500 organization.Ralliant, originally part of Fortive, now stands as a bold, independent public company driving innovation at the forefront of precision technology.
