Sales Support SpecialistOur client in Wauconda is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sales Support Specialist to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to establish or grow a career in sales support, customer service, operations, or office administration.This role serves as a key support function for the sales and project management teams by processing sales orders, managing purchase orders, coordinating logistics, assisting customers, and helping ensure daily office operations run smoothly.The ideal candidate is organized, customer-focused, eager to learn, and comfortable balancing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities:Sales Operations & Order ManagementCreate, process, and track sales orders and purchase orders (POs).Maintain accurate order records and documentation.Monitor order fulfillment and coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely completion.Track inbound and outbound materials to support inventory accuracy.Assist with revenue pipeline and order management activities.Sales & Project SupportProvide administrative support to sales representatives.Partner with Project Management to track projects, deadlines, and deliverables.Support customer requests and assist with internal communication between departments.Monitor internal ticketing systems and help facilitate timely issue resolution.Customer Service & CommunicationAnswer and transfer incoming calls professionally.Greet and assist visitors entering the office.Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.Maintain professional communication through phone, email, and in-person interactions.Office AdministrationCoordinate incoming and outgoing mail and packages.Manage office supply inventory and employee supply requests.Assist with special projects and administrative initiatives as assigned.Support daily office operations and department needs.Systems & Software:The company utilizes Fishbowl, and extensive training will be provided.Candidates with experience in the following systems are encouraged to apply:Fishbowl (preferred but not required)OracleSAPSalesforceCDWOther ERP, CRM, order entry, or customer support systemsTechnical RequirementsMicrosoft OutlookMicrosoft WordMicrosoft Excel (basic proficiency required)General computer and data entry skillsQualifications:RequiredHigh school diploma or equivalent.1-3+ years of experience in sales support, customer service, office administration, or a related role.Strong organizational and multitasking skills.Excellent attention to detail.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.PreferredExperience processing sales orders and purchase orders.Experience supporting sales teams.Familiarity with ERP, CRM, or inventory management systems.College coursework or additional professional trainingTraining & Growth OpportunityThis position offers substantial training and development.
