Sales Account Manager

This individual will be responsible for managing existing client accounts, developing new business opportunities, and ensuring customer satisfaction by offering tailored logistics solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong sales acumen, industry knowledge, and a passion for building long‑term client relationships. Key Responsibilities Develop and manage a portfolio of accounts with a focus on growing business volume and profitability. Identify and pursue new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, and market research. Act as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. Understand client logistics needs and offer customized freight forwarding solutions (Air, Ocean, and Ground). Prepare and deliver competitive proposals, RFQs, and presentations to prospective clients. Collaborate with internal operations, pricing, and customer service teams to ensure successful delivery of services. Track and report sales performance, pipeline activities, and market intelligence to senior management. Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions as needed. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field preferred. 3+ years of sales experience in the freight forwarding/logistics industry. Strong understanding of international shipping, customs regulations, and supply chain processes. Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills. Self‑motivated, with the ability to work independently and in a team environment. Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite. Preferred Qualifications Experience with both import and export services (Air & Ocean). Knowledge of Incoterms and trade compliance. Multilingual skills are a plus.
