Job Summary A construction related company in Novato, CA is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper in supporting day-to-day accounting operations. This role is ideal for a hands-on accounting professional who enjoys maintaining accurate records, managing AP/AR, reconciling accounts, and working closely with leadership to keep financial information organized and audit-ready. The Bookkeeper will use QuickBooks to enter handwritten invoices, categorize transactions, manage vendor and customer activity, and prepare monthly financial reports. Key Responsibilities Enter, categorize, and code bank and credit card transactions in QuickBooks with a high level of accuracy. Manage accounts receivable, including creating customer invoices, tracking payments, and following up on outstanding balances. Manage accounts payable, including vendor bills, payment terms, and outgoing payments. Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations and support accurate month-end close processes. Process payroll using Paychex, including deductions and employee reimbursements. Generate monthly financial statements, including Profit and Loss statements and Balance Sheets, for management review.
