Robert Half is seeking an experienced Interim Accounting Manager to assist and prepare month end close, financial reporting, audits, grants, internal controls for our Non Profit client.

Our client operates across events, entertainment, hospitality, venue operations, educational programs, grants, sponsorships, and facility rentals.

Nonprofit accounting experience is required and NetSuite experience is highly preferred. This consulting opportunity will be located onsite in Pomona. CA

Responsibilities

Oversee GL, AP, AR, payroll accounting, revenue recognition, fixed assets, cash management, and reconciliations

Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.

Supervise and develop accounting staff while improving workflow and accountability.

Prepare and review financial statements, management reports

Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning.

Lead annual audit preparation and serve as primary liaison with external auditors.

Oversee grants, restricted funds, and compliance reporting for the non-profit entity

Strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance;

5+ years of accounting leadership experience.

Prior Accounting Manager experience.

Nonprofit accounting experience required.

Experience supporting multi-entity environments, including both nonprofit and for-profit operations, preferred.

Experience with audits, grants, restricted funds, and compliance reporting.

NetSuite experience highly preferred.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline.

• At least 5 years of progressive accounting leadership experience, including prior experience as an Accounting Manager.

• Required background in nonprofit accounting, including work with restricted funds and compliance-related reporting.

• Demonstrated experience overseeing audits, financial reporting, account reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close activities.

• Ability to support complex organizations with multiple lines of business; experience in multi-entity environments is preferred.

• Proficiency with general ledger management and core accounting operations across AP, AR, and cash processes.
