About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: CPI preferred Description: Seeking a Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse for night shifts. The role involves caring for acutely ill adults and geriatric patients. You will work with both medical and telemetry patients, requiring EKG rhythm identification. Managing non-titrating cardiac drips and advanced medication infusion will be part of the duties. Responsibilities include pre- and post-procedure evaluation and care. You will perform neurological assessments and care for acute ischemic stroke and transient ischemic attack patients. Float within the service line and the scope of practice is required. You will be part of a team providing care in an acute medical unit. The average daily census is 16-18 patients. The facility has a total of 24 beds. Patient ratios on nights will be 1:5. No call or weekend coverage is required. This position is open to first-time travelers. Knowledge of Epic charting is preferred. Candidates will need to manage various medical protocols, including insulin and heparin protocols. The role requires excellent communication and teamwork skills. All applicants must provide proof of certifications. This position excludes patients with active and unstable gastrointestinal bleeding and uncontrolled ischemic chest pain with unstable vital signs.
