Location: Washington, DC - Onsite
Estimated Salary Range: $95,000–$115,000

Position Overview

Cortina is seeking an Onsite Manager / Team Lead to oversee contractor personnel supporting the United States Border Patrol (USBP). This individual will supervise up to nine administrative and operations support professionals and serve as the primary contractor liaison to the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR).

The Team Lead will coordinate daily support activities, ensure timely and professional service delivery, and help the team respond to shifting priorities across branches, projects, programs, divisions, and directorates. This position focuses on team management and general mission support.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise contractor personnel, coordinate assignments, monitor workloads, and ensure work meets established requirements and deadlines.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for the COR and SPAD leadership regarding contractor staffing, performance, priorities, and issue resolution.
• Coordinate personnel reassignments with company management, the COR, and SPAD leadership as operational needs change.
• Oversee administrative support services, including office operations and logistics, document and data management, meeting and executive support, SharePoint administration, routine reporting and analysis, and human resources support.
• Coordinate short-term and quick-response requests, including presentation development, basic graphic design, meeting facilitation, and other project-based support.
• Provide guidance and feedback to team members, address performance concerns, and promote responsive customer service.
• Track assignments, prepare status updates, and communicate progress, challenges, and resource needs to government stakeholders.
• Ensure contractor personnel follow established DHS, CBP, and USBP procedures and collaborate effectively with government staff in a federal law enforcement environment.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience , including at least 2 years in a supervisory or management capacity overseeing administrative, operational, or business support teams.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and data reporting tools such as Power BI.
• Demonstrated ability to manage personnel, coordinate tasks, resolve issues, and communicate effectively with federal leadership.
• Excellent customer service, organizational, interpersonal, and written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to changing operational requirements.
• Ability to obtain and retain a CBP Background Investigation (BI), which includes fingerprinting, credit checks, criminal history checks, and verification of employment and military service.

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in business administration, management, public administration, or a related field.
• Professional certifications in project management, such as PMP; supervisory management; or Microsoft Office Suite. Certifications are not required.
