Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical-Surgical/Progressive Care Unit – Wisconsin

Start Date: November 9, 2026

Location: Wisconsin

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts (6:30 PM - 7:00 AM). Weekend rotation with every other holiday. Standby call as needed. 48-hour contract option available for those willing to work additional weekends.

Highlights:

• Blended Med-Surg/PCU unit with occasional ICU-level patients requiring care across all acuity levels
• Patient ratios: 5:1 days, 6:1 nights with a 23-bed unit caring for adults and geriatric populations
• Cerner charting system with 24 hours of orientation provided
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, physical therapy, rapid response teams, and phlebotomy
• Case mix includes medical cardiac/respiratory, orthopedic (knees/hips), and general surgery patients
• Free parking onsite with floating to other units as needed

Requirements:

• Active Wisconsin RN license or compact state license
• BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association only)
• Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience in Med-Surg and PCU within the last 3 years
• Previous travel experience required (first-time travelers must have 5+ years of RN experience)
• Must successfully pass telemetry exam prior to assignment start with strict passing criteria
• Experience with patient ratios of 3-6 and Cerner charting system required
• Charge experience preferred
• Must maintain 95% barcode scanning compliance for extension eligibility
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Candidates must reside 50+ miles from the facility
