Job Description
Central Service Technician

Schedule

Monday to Friday, 11 PM - 7:30 AM, with occasional scheduled holidays.

Assignment Details

May be required to float to other locations.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in a facility similar to a Level One trauma facility.
• CBSPD or CRCST certification (through HSPA, formerly IAHCSMM) is accepted.
• Experience with decontamination of various items and the assembly of instruments across all service lines.
• Knowledge of sterilization processes including Sterrad and steam.
• Experience with High-Level Disinfection (HLD) and scopes.
• Familiarity with sterile storage and Censitrac tracking system.
• OR liaison experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform decontamination of surgical instruments and equipment.
• Assemble and package instruments for sterilization in various service lines.
• Ensure sterilization processes are accurately followed.
• Track inventory and usage of sterile items.
• Assist in managing sterile storage areas.
• Communicate effectively with operating room staff regarding instrument availability and needs.
