General Sales Manager Nissan & Mazda of Elk Grove Nissan and Mazda of Elk Grove are seeking a General Sales Manager to help lead the sales and finance operations. We are specifically looking for someone that is very hands-on, working anddesking deals alongside the team of tenured sales managers. This is a high impact leadership opportunity for someone who can build strong teams, develop sales managers and salespeople, drive performance, and create consistent, customer-focused culture. Compensation and Benefits: As a General Sales Manager, the anticipated compensation range for this position is $150,000-$200,000 per year, based on the gross, CSI, & volume performance. Actual compensation will vary based on individual and dealership performance and the terms of the applicable compensation plan. Additionally, we are also looking for the following qualifications: A strong desking strategy for both gross and volume standards Proven success building, training, and leading high performing sales teams Strong record of CSI achievement and above average gross and net departmental profits Experience in showroom and internet traffic management including SEO, SEM, direct mail, and other traditional media Experience with Used vehicle purchasing, merchandising, and marketing Proven experience leading, developing, and supervising desk managers and improving F&I income through mentorship and training What you’ll do: As a General Sales Manager, you will lead and develop our sales operations to maximize profitability, customer satisfaction, and team performance. Key responsibilities include: Oversee sales desk operations and provide hands‑on desking, coaching, and customer engagement. We don’t just want a coach that leads from their office. Coach, mentor, and train the sales team on effective closing techniques and best practices Lead showroom operations and maintain expert‑level product knowledge Monitor Customer Satisfaction (CSI) scores and identify areas for improvement Hire, motivate, and manage performance of New and Used sales teams, internet sales, Finance Managers, and Service Drive Sales Conduct daily and weekly sales training sessions for Sales and Product Specialists Mentor sales staff to improve performance, gross, and net profitability Implement and manage CRM systems to ensure proper follow‑up with all prospective customers and leads Establish delivery procedures and monitor execution, including customer introduction to the service department and scheduling first service appointments Achieve monthly and annual forecast goals for dealership and OEM sales, gross profit, and key expenses Why choose Nissan & Mazda of Elk Grove?
