Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a Medical-Surgical setting, ensuring adherence to professional standards and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver safe, effective patient treatment and recovery.

Responsibilities:

Assess patients' health status and document findings accurately.
Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs.
Administer medications and treatments according to physicians' orders and safety protocols.
Monitor patient responses and adjust care as necessary to promote optimal outcomes.
Educate patients and families on health conditions, care procedures, and post-discharge instructions.
Comply with state licensing, certification requirements, and healthcare regulations.

Qualifications:

Hold a current Kansas registered nurse license.
Possess an Associate's Degree in Nursing or a Diploma Degree in Nursing from an accredited school.
Preferably have hospital experience within the past 5 years.
Maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
