Hematology/Oncology Clinical Trials | Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant | Henry Ford Health Location: Brigette Harris Cancer Pavillion, 2800 W Grand Blvd Detroit, MI Status: Full-Time | Days Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8-hour shifts. Call/Weekends: Weekends are not included at present, but in the future will have Saturday clinic hours. No call. ***Hematology / Oncology Clinical Trials*** Position Overview Henry Ford Health System is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Detroit Hematology team . The start date and schedule are undetermined at this time , with potential as departmental needs are established. This role is not open to new graduates and requires at least 1 year of APP experience along with 1 year of oncology experience . Clinical trial experience—either as an RN or APP—is highly preferred. Qualifications NP or PA graduate from an accredited program National certification (ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA) BLS required; ACLS required (or obtained after hire) Oncology experience, 1-year clinical trial experience as RN or APP Education & Training Nurse Practitioner (NP): Completion of a Nurse Practitioner program accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) Physician Assistant (PA): Completion of a Physician Assistant program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) Licensure Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant in the State of Michigan, or in the process of applying (proof of application required) Certification NP: National certification by a certification body recognized by the State of Michigan (e.g., ANCC, AANP) PA: Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) Required Certifications Basic Life Support (BLS) – required Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – required (may be obtained after hire) DEA / Controlled Substance Licensure PA: DEA and Michigan Controlled Substance License (CSL) required through credentialing NP: DEA registration required through credentialing; NPs do not hold a Michigan CSL and will use their Michigan license number during the application process Additional Information Organization: Henry Ford Medical Group Henry Ford Health Location: Henry Ford Hospital - Detroit Main Campus Shift: Day Job Union Code: Not Applicable This posting represents the major duties, responsibilities, and authorities of this job, and is not intended to be a complete list of all tasks and functions.
