Oncology Sales Specialist The Oncology Sales Specialist is a key member of the customer‑facing organization, responsible for partnering with healthcare providers to provide clinical information about products, educate key stakeholders, and promote a leading immunotherapy compound. This field‑based position covers Phoenix South and requires residence within the territory. Overnight travel may be required about 25% of the time. Responsibilities Demonstrate in‑depth knowledge to create compelling value rationales for products and contrast, compare, and position the company brand versus competition. Act as primary point of contact for customers, meeting with key personnel to understand their practice structure, business model, and key influencers. Possess knowledge of cancer staging, treatment options, dosing schedules across tumor types, and understand the impact of these options on patients. Understand the role of clinical trials in multiple tumor types/therapies and their impact on promoted products and account behavior. Analyze and identify trends in a complex buying environment across drug distribution channels, Oncology GPOs, wholesalers, and specialty pharmacies. Review patterns of product purchase and prescription, outpatient vs. inpatient infusion, and hospital contracts. Develop short‑ and long‑term account plans in collaboration with the account team and the Customer Team Leader. Share learnings and best practices across customers to improve overall customer satisfaction. Ask strategic, insightful questions to obtain information on customer needs from all stakeholders in oncology accounts. Collaborate with the extended in‑scope customer team to ensure a consistent experience across company divisions. Qualifications Minimum: Bachelor’s degree with 6–8 years sales experience, OR high school diploma with 10 years equivalent experience. Minimum: Professional sales experience, healthcare/scientific field experience (pharmaceutical, biotech, medical devices), professional marketing experience, or military experience. Minimum: 2+ years oncology field sales experience. Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as required. Preferred Experience and Skills Documented history of strong performance in a sales/marketing or oncology clinical role. Clinical oncology experience across multiple solid tumors (women’s cancer – breast, ovarian, cervical). Experience levels: 0–2 years – S2 Oncology Sales Representative; 2+ years – S3 Oncology Sales Specialist. Benefits Salary range: $156,900 – $247,000.
