# Food and Beverage Team MemberApplylocations: Chicagotime type: Part timeposted on: Posted Yesterdayjob requisition id: R-102420**Job Description:**The Food and Beverage Team Member will prepare beverage and food orders in accordance with the Dialtone standards and recipes. Manage flow of guests in and around café, restaurant, and retail area. Keep areas clean and organized. Provide great customer service. **Perks and Benefits:*** Competitive pay & a Comprehensive Benefit Package.* Other benefits include Health Saving Account, Flexible Saving Account, Employee Assistance Program.* Annual Education Allowance* Generous Referral Program* Fun & collaborative company culture with lots of team building events* Friends and Family rates for Level Hotels & Furnished Suites, The Opus Hotel, and The Emily Hotel**What Will You Do?*** Taking orders: Servers take food and drink orders accurately and communicate menu items to customers.* Serving food and drinks: Servers deliver food and beverages to customers.* Customer service: Greet customers, answer questions, and create a fun experience* Ensure the overall guest experience exceeds expectations and anticipates guests’ needs.* Maintain positive guest relations at all times.* Maintain current and accurate knowledge of the menu offerings.* Use Sales techniques to present and encourage current promotions to guests.* Accommodate guest dietary restrictions and preferences, ensuring all modifications are communicated effectively to the kitchen staff.* Cash handling: Record sales, operate cash registers, and handle cash payments* Proficiency in the use and operation of all necessary tools and equipment, including the POS system and Frequent Diner, Gift Card and Credit Card Terminals* Use Tact and good judgement when dealing with guest challenges and respond to guest needs with patience and courtesy.* Drink preparation: Make hot and cold drinks, like coffee, tea, espresso, and cocktails, and customize orders to customer preferences* Food service: Prepare and serve food like sandwiches, muffins, and baked goods* Manage inventory for pastries, snacks, coffee, tea, liquor, and other food/beverage ingredients.* Assist with food preparation tasks, including chopping, slicing, portioning, and preparing menu items to support smooth kitchen operations.* Monitor restaurant stock levels, restocking ingredients, and supplies as needed to maintain workflow during service hours.* Clean and sanitize in-store food surfaces, tools, and equipment regularly to ensure compliance with food safety standards.* Deliveries: Helping other team members to unload and store deliveries* Stocking: Stock supplies and merchandise* Follow All Steps of Service* Perform Thorough Mopping and Sweeping of the floors, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and hygiene standards are met, using the appropriate cleaning solutions and equipment.* Trash: Emptying trash containers and rinsing garbage cans* Spills: Cleaning up spills and broken glassware immediately* Cleaning: Washing dishes, utensils, and cookware, and cleaning kitchen appliances and machines* Comply with all safety and sanitation guidelines and procedures.**What You Bring?*** Previous experience as a barista/cook/server* Restaurant and/or coffee shop experience preferred* High School Diploma or GED**Salary Range:**$17.00-18.00/per hour**About The Company:****Onni**For over half a century, Onni has been building communities for people to live, work, and play.
