Senior Accountant

Client: Hospitality Organization Role: Senior Accountant Salary: $110,000 - $120,000/annually Benefits Location: Manhattan, NY - *Hybrid - 4 days a week onsite - 1 Day WFH* Job Description: Role Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accountant to join our finance team. In this role, you will be a cornerstone of our daily financial operations, ensuring the integrity of our General Ledger while helping us transition from manual processes to scalable, automated systems. You will work closely with the Controller and collaborate across Sales, Events, and Operations. Core Responsibilities Full-Cycle Accounting: Lead the month-end close process by preparing journal entries, managing accruals, and handling inventory/departmental allocations. Financial Integrity: Maintain meticulous general ledger records and perform weekly bank and monthly balance sheet reconciliations to ensure 100% GAAP compliance. Revenue Operations: Partner with Sales and Events to ensure accurate billing and revenue recognition; manage monthly commission statements and support AR/collections efforts. Reporting & Strategy: Assist the Controller in preparing internal financial statements, fixed asset schedules, and audit documentation. Process Evolution: Act as a key contributor to our growth by identifying ways to modernize our current manual workflows and enhance system internal controls.
