Role Responsibilities:

• Performing initial assessments and creating personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s requirements.
• Administering various therapeutic interventions, such as exercises, manual therapy, modalities (e.g., ultrasound, heat/ice therapy, electrical stimulation), and patient education.
• Educating patients on exercise regimens, correcting posture, and preventing injuries to ensure lasting recovery and enhanced functional outcomes.
• Collaborating with the multidisciplinary care team to deliver comprehensive, patient-focused care.
• Monitoring patient progress and adjusting treatment plans as needed to achieve their rehabilitation objectives.
• Recording treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries following departmental policies and industry standards.
• Offering thorough patient education to empower individuals in managing their rehabilitation and averting future injuries.
• Maintaining a hygienic, safe, and organized setting while adhering to infection control and safety protocols.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience: Previous experience in inpatient physical therapy environments is preferred.
• Licensure: Possession or eligibility to obtain a valid Physical Therapist license in the state at the time of employment is required.
• Education: A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree from an accredited institution is mandatory.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be secured within 90 days of hire.
• Skills: Proficiency in communicating and collaborating effectively with patients, families, and colleagues. Strong organizational and time-management abilities are essential.
• Patient Care: Capability to deliver high-quality, compassionate care to a diverse patient population, including those with orthopedic, neurological, and musculoskeletal conditions.
• Physical Demands: Must be capable of independently lifting up to 30 pounds and up to 150 pounds with assistance. Requires frequent standing, walking, bending, and patient movement during treatment sessions.
