We love encouraging a truly collaborative design process where architects, engineers, and other disciplines collaborate smoothly toward common goals.The Technology Specialist supports the organization's technology infrastructure, troubleshoots hardware and software issues, and provides technical support. This job is the first point of contact for employees with technical issues and helps keep technology systems secure, reliable, and efficient. With extensive technical understanding of end user system management and support, this function supports numerous IT department areas. The ideal candidate will be passionate and driven to discover, thrive, and contribute.Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesServe as a primary point of contact for employees experiencing technical difficultiesProvide technical support to users in person, by phone, and through remote support toolsWork closely with and take day-to-day directions from the IT Support Manager on priorities, assignments, and escalationsCollaborate with IT team members and other departments to resolve issues and support technology initiativesCommunicate technical information clearly and courteously to non-technical usersTroubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and peripheral issues on desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and VDI desktopsManage and maintain end user systems, including Windows desktop OS deployment, imaging, configuration, and update managementAdminister user accounts, permissions, and access through identity management and Office 365Enroll, configure, and support mobile devices through Mobile Device ManagementPrepare, deploy, and recover equipment and accounts for onboarding and offboarding employees.Perform user-requested software installs and maintain hardware, software, and license inventoryLog, prioritize, and track requests through the ticketing system to resolution, escalating issues as appropriate.Assist with the maintenance and operation of the organization's technology infrastructure, including servers, network, VoIP, and backup systemsHelp keep end-user systems secure by applying security policies, endpoint protection, and patchesAssist with technology projects and initiatives as directed by the Director of Technology and IT Support ManagerMaintain the support knowledge base and technical documentation.Continuously evaluate and refine processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.Provide guidance and training to end users on hardware, software, and security best practices.Actively seek opportunities for professional development and stay abreast of the latest technology trends and best practices.Education and ExperienceEducation Requirements: An associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school is preferred; a minimum high school diploma or equivalent is required. Alternatively, candidates with relevant certificates or degrees in IT, computer science, or a related field will also be considered.Work Experience: Three or more years of experience in IT support, end user systems administration, or a related technical role.Certifications: (Preferred) CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+; Microsoft 365 Endpoint Administrator or equivalent.Skills and KnowledgeComputer Skills :(Required) Office 365, Windows Desktop OS Management, Identity Management (Active Directory / Entra ID), Ticketing Systems Management, hardware and peripheral troubleshooting.(Preferred) includes Virtual Desktop Infrastructure Management, Mobile Device Management, System Imaging Management, Windows Update Management, Endpoint Security, basic networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, wireless), Windows Server Administration, VoIP.Physical Demands: The employee must frequently lift or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move objects up to 25 poundsWork Environment: This position will be in an open office work environment with flexibilityBenefitsThe employees of Apogee Consulting Group are the company's most valuable resources.
