Job Description
At the GS-09 & GS-11 level, the incumbent performs duties as outlined below; however, the scope and complexity of assignments are of less responsibility and independence.
Serves as the principal action officer for planning, developing, coordinating, and executing media relations.
Researches, analyzes, synthesizes, and translates complex foreign policy developments, diplomatic initiatives, media reporting, and emerging issues to ensure communications products accurately reflect approved Department policies.
Plans, develops, coordinates, and implements PA and stakeholder outreach initiatives that promote understanding of USG multilateral foreign policy priorities, diplomatic objectives, and Bureau programs.
Coordinates Bureau digital communications activities by developing content calendars, drafting and coordinating social media products, monitoring emerging digital communications trends, and identifying opportunities to enhance audience engagement.
