Nurse Manager II - STPCU Location: Texas Health Fort Worth, Fort Worth, TX Work Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Key Responsibilities OPERATIONS: Plan, organize, and delegate activities for safe, efficient, and effective operation of the unit, collaborate with other departments and leadership. Provide resources and guidance to support evidence‑based practice standards. Utilize processes and resources to support optimal delivery of data and information to staff. Facilitate activities preparing unit, environment, and staff to meet credentialing bodies requirements. Identify key drivers in throughput process, evaluate areas of role, and develop solutions to barriers. QUALITY PATIENT CARE OUTCOMES: Plan and manage patient care processes to improve performance. Facilitate delivery of quality patient care and ensure documentation meets hospital and credentialing standards. Demonstrate supportive role in change process. HUMAN RESOURCES: Responsible for staffing based on patient care needs. Manage personnel functions including staff, performance reviews, corrective action, orientation and professional development. Recognize and reward achievements, promote staff retention and foster shared decision‑making through the unit‑based council. CUSTOMER SATISFACTION: Incorporate customer needs and expectations into daily operations and business planning; promote team‑building and group process. BUDGET: Prepare operating and capital budgets, manage and adjust strategies to meet budget expectations. PROFESSIONAL ACCOUNTABILITY: Participate in hospital/department/system committees, stay current with professional activities, address ethical and legal concerns, act as role model/mentor, adhere to ANA Code of Ethics and Nurse Practice Act, contribute to community activities. Education Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (required) Experience 3 years as a registered nurse, with previous charge nurse or similar leadership role. Critical Care experience (required). Strongly preferred: 3+ years in critical or burn care. Licenses and Certifications (Required) Registered Nurse (RN) ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support (maintained quarterly) BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support (maintained quarterly) CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention (maintained annually within 90 days of hire) ABLS – Advanced Burn Life Support (within 12 months of hire) OR CCRN – Critical Care Registered Nurse (within 12 months of hire) Skills & Knowledge Knowledge of industry standards, organization, theory, and research processes. Quality improvement and change management techniques. Financial analysis, budget process and planning. Accreditation and regulatory standards, strategic planning principles.
