On behalf of our Healthcare client, Procom is searching for a Patient Services Representative for a contract role. This position is an onsite position at our client's Chicago office.

Patient Services Representative Non-Clinical - Administrative - Job Description:
The Admissions Registration Specialist I is responsible for ensuring accurate and complete patient registration for admissions and elective procedures. The role involves assisting patients with insurance options and financial responsibilities while maintaining a courteous and respectful demeanor, advocating for patient wellbeing in alignment with Rush's mission and values.

Patient Services Representative Non-Clinical - Administrative - Responsibilities:
• Collect, verify, and enter patient information into Epic with high accuracy.
• Ensure completion of admission documents by having patients sign and scan necessary forms.
• Accurately interpret and communicate patient insurance benefits.
• Determine and communicate patient financial obligations respectfully.
• Perform registration functions in compliance with regulations and organizational policies.
• Execute the admission notification process for secure payment of inpatient stays.
• Inform patients about hospital policies related to the revenue cycle.
• Handle telephone inquiries from patients, payers, and other stakeholders effectively.
• Collaborate with departments to resolve issues ensuring hospital reimbursement.
• Maintain knowledge of laws, regulations, and organizational policies for adherence to ethical behavior.
• Attend EPIC training sessions and other relevant training.


Patient Services Representative Non-Clinical - Administrative - Mandatory Skills:
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• 0-1 year of relevant experience.
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.


Patient Services Representative Non-Clinical - Administrative - Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Associate's Degree in Accounting or Business Administration.
• Experience in a healthcare or financial service setting.
• Knowledge of insurance and governmental programs and billing processes.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology.
