Job Description Under the supervision of the Nursing Manager, the Hospital Assistant III plays a crucial role in delivering patient care and facilitating clinical procedures within the Department of Otolaryngology, Head & Neck Surgery. This role involves a range of personal care and clinical tasks, including vital sign monitoring, patient preparation, and assisting with complex medical procedures. The Hospital Assistant III also ensures a professional and helpful working environment, adhering to Medical Center standards and policies. This position is based in outpatient clinical settings across UCSF Health sites, making a difference in patient care and clinic efficiency. Qualifications Certification from an approved Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience. One year of experience as a Medical Assistant/Hospital Assistant in a medical practice. Current American Heart Association CPR Certification. Superior customer service and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient care. Experience using and documenting within an Electronic Medical Record (EMR). Previous experience in procedural/surgical specialty practices is preferred. Familiarity with inventory management and supply chain processes is an asset. Interest in pursuing advanced healthcare training or clinical careers. Proficiency in using Box, Excel, Outlook, Teams, or similar collaboration platforms. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing clinic needs. #J-18808-Ljbffr
