QUALITY MANAGER

About the Role We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to own and lead our laboratory quality program. This is a replacement role for a long-tenured team member, which means you'll be stepping into an established, functioning program — and bringing your expertise to strengthen and advance it. In a company of 30 people, this role carries real influence. You won't be managing a bureaucracy; you'll be the person who sets the standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain our ISO/IEC 17025-based laboratory quality management system
• Oversee A2LA accreditation, including assessments, the quality manual, and corrective actions
• Lead CAPA processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements across aerospace, automotive, and defense sectors
• Maintain document control and quality records
• Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors and accreditation bodies
• Collaborate closely with laboratory staff and leadership at all levels

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific, engineering, or quality-related discipline preferred; equivalent experience considered
• Minimum 5 years of quality management experience in a laboratory or manufacturing environment
• Direct experience with ISO/IEC 17025 and A2LA accreditation strongly preferred
• Familiarity with aerospace, automotive, or defense quality requirements (AS9100, NADCAP, or similar) a plus
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to prepare and maintain technical documentation
• Detail-oriented, self-directed, and comfortable working in a small team environment
