Position Summary Corewell Health is offering up to $1,500 for Full Time and $750 for Part Time as a sign on bonus for this opportunity! About this unit 5 North is a 38‑bed unit caring for a wide variety of medical, surgical, and chronically ill patients. The unit specializes in the care of diabetes (insulin drips) and renal failure (Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis). It can accommodate patients who need telemetry (monitored remotely) and oximetry. The patient‑nurse ratio is adjusted based on acuity. Our nurses partner with universities to help student nurses succeed through precepting, support, and role modeling. Employment Details Employment Type: Full Time Shift: Day (United States of America) Weekly Scheduled Hours: 36 Hours of Work: 7:00am – 7:30pm Days Worked: Variable Weekend Frequency: Every other weekend Scope of Work Provides care to the patient according to the plan of care, unit routine and hospital policy under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Safely transports patients via wheelchair or stretcher, dispatches services, and documents all services appropriately. Provides the services of an Observer for any patient on a patient care unit who has been assessed to require constant observation, either in person or via remote video monitoring, to maximize safety. Performs general receptionist and clerical duties to facilitate efficient functioning of the nursing unit. Documents care provided in the electronic medical record.
