Day in the Life
At our Middletown, OH facility, your day runs 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. You arrive to a clean, organized cell, power up the Bystronic console, review the blueprint packet and traveler, and prepare the machine for the first run. Throughout the shift, you dial in parameters, watch cut quality like a hawk, and keep production flowing safely and efficiently.
What You Will Handle- Configure and run a Bystronic laser to meet job specifications and schedules.
- Translate blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings into precise cutting operations.
- Continuously monitor performance, adjusting settings to maintain optimal throughput and quality.
- Execute routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
- Inspect first-piece and finished parts, confirming they meet all dimensional and visual criteria.
- Keep the area neat and safe, following company safety practices at all times.
- Partner with teammates to streamline process steps and improve efficiency.
- High school diploma or equivalent; added technical training in laser operations is a plus.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a laser operator or closely related role.
- Deep familiarity with laser cutting machinery, methods, and production workflows.
- Comfort reading and applying technical documentation and schematics.
- Sharp attention to detail and strong troubleshooting instincts.
- Clear communicator and reliable team player.
- Flexibility to work overtime when production demands require it.
- Primary equipment: Bystronic Laser (proficiency required).
- Location: Middletown, OH
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
