Quality Inspector - 2nd shift

Quality InspectorThe Quality Inspector performs first piece, in-process inspections, and final inspections of components and assemblies per control/quality plans. The Quality Inspector will review and approve final release documentation. Performs incoming inspections per control/quality plans for received materials. This role will also complete appropriate quality records within company and GMP guidelines, policies and procedures.Shifts Available:2nd shift - Monday - Friday from 2:00 - 10:30 pmResponsibilitiesInspection of injection molded parts relating to quality, appearance and performanceInspection of assemblies relating to quality, appearance and performanceInspection of received materials relating to quality, appearance and performanceInspection and audit of final product documentation prior to releaseDetermine reasons for defectsRead and understand quality control plans, blueprints and specificationsCheck parts dimensionally by using precision testing equipment, including Tool Scope, CMM, OGP and various other metrology tools and equipmentEffective organizational, oral and written communication skillsRead and comply with work instructions, set up sheets, and checklistsAccurately records and reports hours workedMaintain an organized work area (5S) to include workstations, equipment, walkways, and locker areasParticipate in the Operational Excellence ProgramUnderstand and comply with the Cretex professional competencies, company policies, and employee manualAdhere to all safety policies; includes wearing personal protective equipment when requiredSupport and complies with the company's Quality System, ISO, and medical device requirementsComplete all other work duties as assignedQualificationsBasic knowledge of inspection equipment use and maintenanceRead and comprehend customer supplied drawings and specificationsCommunicate inspection results with team membersManage multiple requirements and deadlinesQuickly shift priorities in support of production inspection needsHigh school diploma or equivalent degree (GED)Experience with measuring instruments, methods and practices including hand tools and machine devices including CMM and Vision SystemsBasic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)Ability to read, comprehend, follow and document work instructions, standard operating procedures, and training documentsMechanical aptitudeDexterity and hand and eye coordinationAttention to detailStrong problem-solving skillsAbility to prioritize work and manage multiple tasksQuality Inspector Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Knowledge of ISO 9001/13485Quality training/certificationsWhat is it like to work at Cretex Medical?We recognize the contribution of every individual and promote growth, safety and security for all our employees. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as skills, relevant experience, education, internal equity, business needs, and local market conditions.
