Med/Surg Tele RN - Night Shift

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift: 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 3 shifts per week.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Med/Surg Tele RN who is willing to float to various units as needed. The role requires providing high-quality nursing care to patients in the medical-surgical and telemetry settings.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care in the Med/Surg Tele unit.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions and treatment responses.
• Administer medications and manage intravenous lines.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Float to other units as needed based on patient population care requirements.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 18 months of permanent experience in Med/Surg Tele nursing prior to travel assignments.
• Must possess a current Ohio RN license or a compact state license.
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications.
• Must have 18 months of recent Med/Surg Tele experience, including travel experience.
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation.
