Transactions Associate

Foley & Lardner is seeking a corporate associate with 2-5 years of relevant experience to join the Transactions Practice Group in our Silicon Valley office. The position will involve handling a mix of emerging companies & venture capital (ECVC) financing, M&A, private equity, and general corporate counseling for publicly and privately held companies, private equity funds, and other investors and entrepreneurs. The associate would be joining a growing, energetic and collaborative culture that values character, work ethic and personal/professional development. Qualified candidates must have experience working on venture capital/early-stage financings, mergers, acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, and other commercial transactions, in addition to general corporate experience. The ideal candidate will have sophisticated document drafting and project management skills, a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, an exceptional work ethic, and must be comfortable having direct interaction with partners and clients. Strong writing and communication skills are required. To be considered, a candidate must hold a JD from an ABA-approved law school and must be in good standing and an active member of the California Bar. Pursuant to the CA Pay Transparency for Pay Equity Act, the expected salary range for this position is between $240,000 - $350,000.
