Step into a vital support role and make a difference in the classroom as a paraprofessional. This contract position offers the opportunity to work alongside dedicated educators and assist students in their daily academic and social growth.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in a classroom setting
- Understanding of various instructional and behavioral support strategies
- Ability to collaborate seamlessly with teachers and other school staff
- Patience, strong communication skills, and a compassionate approach to working with children
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional relevant training or education preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to students in both individual and group settings according to their educational plans
- Assist classroom teachers with lesson prep, classroom management, and implementation of activities
- Supervise students during various parts of the school day, offering guidance and support as needed
- Foster a respectful and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement
- Document student progress and communicate findings to the educational team
- Adapt to a dynamic classroom atmosphere and respond proactively to daily challenges
